Music production
with a personal touch

Doing my utmost best to add value to your music
and provide you with outstanding customer experience.

I'm Peter, audio engineer working with rock and metal bands on your next best song.

I’m Peter and I work with rock and metal bands like yours on producing industry standard records that you can be proud of.

I always loved everything music related and it eventually evolved into full music production business tailored for rock and metal genres which resonate with me the most.

I’m passionate about achieving the best possible sound but at the same time I don’t like overcomplicated solutions, so you can count on our recording sessions to be as easy going as possible and your mixed songs to have just the right amount of edge but not being too much (unless that’s what you want).

I believe that making good music is a team work and thus I want to help you make music you’ll be proud of, music your audience will love and will listen to over and over again.

Sometimes we think that we should do everything ourselves and therefore strive to be good at everything we can. But in my experience I came to realize that eveybody should do what they’re good at and leave the rest to the others.

Overall, what I value the most are people who know what they want and want to achieve a really good result and don’t have the attitude “Well, but isn’t it enough?”

I don’t say things have to be perfect because the nature of the world we live in isn’t about perfection and every persons’ idea would be something different anyway, and some imperfections add character but there are certain standards in the music industry that I think should be observed so that you can say you made a professional record.

If that’s your thing, I’ll be more than happy to help you get there.

What you'll get when working with me

Distinctive sound

I think every good mixing engineer should have his own distinctive sound. At least that’s the philosophy behind Nitro Studios. Yes, we all use more or less the same tools but the way we go about it makes that difference in the final sound. If you like Nitro Studios sound and you’ll like to utilize it in your music, I’ll be more than happy to work with you on your music.

Focus on quality

Taking into account that millions of songs go online every year, if you are supposed to succeed with your music, it just must sound good. There’ s no other way around it and there are no shortcuts – apart from how good your song is from creative point of view, well recorded material, professional mix and good master are essentials that produce industry standard records.

Clear communication

You’ll know what’s gonna happen, when and how and if you have questions or concerns, or ideas don’t be afraid to talk about it. I call this approach “never assume, always check”. Every successful enterprise is in my opinion based on clear communication and free flow of ideas. Yes, it might happen that your idea will be overruled but bear in mind it’s always in the best interest of your music. Because sometimes what we want to do and how we imagine it’s gonna turn out and what actually brings the best result are two different things. That’s why communication is so crucial to avoid disappointment and dissatisfaction on both sides.

Emphasis on client satisfaction

It doesn’t mean that anything you want goes because I want you to have a great experience working with me. But I want our cooperation to be as hassle-free and as enjoyable as possible. Recording your material and then the mixing process can sometimes be tedious and tiring for both sides, nevertheless I just really want you to be satisfied with the result and to have a feeling that you’ve got the value for your money.

Getting ready for mixing

HOW TO PREPARE YOU SESSION

Follow these steps for faster turnaround and less misunderstandings.

  • Export your audio tracks in WAVE file with some minimums – min. sample rate 44.1 kHz and min. bit rate 24bit
  • Align all tracks at the beginning, so that they are in sync
  • Label all tracks correctly (e.g. KickIn, KickOut, SnareTop, SnareBottom, LeadGuitar, etc.)
  • Include tempo map in MIDI file, if the tempo is variable
  • Include DI signal for guitars and bass tracks
  • If you have a demo mix or rough mix, you can include that one too
  • If you have programmed drums in MIDI format include the mapping (e.g. Kick – C1, Snare D1, etc.)

INFO ON EDITING

If your session will need some major editing, we also offer editing services and we can provide full package that includes editing and mixing of your recording. Bear in mind that mixing and editing are priced separately and the final price of the project will then depend on the state of your session when we receive it from you. This also impacts the time needed to finish the project.
